April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player from the United States She is one of a small category of females who have won medals in several Olympics. Alix-Klineman will compete with April Ross Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal in the next couple of days. Ross aims to earn her Olympic first gold medal however, she also hopes to earn greater. It could be the last opportunity she gets at age 39. But she's convinced that winning the gold medal is in reach. Ross on NBC Boston, said that when the team performs well or at all it could be able to win gold. Therefore, I'm hoping to have some luck too. Ross was born in 1982 in Costa Mesa California where she resided with her parents and sister. Ross's athletic endeavors was continued by Newport Harbor High School where she was a part of a number of sports. Apart from the indoor game, she also played basketball and jogged track in her pre-college days. She was clearly the best in the game of indoor volleyball. According to her bio her high school days, she played volleyball as an outside setter (middle blocker) as well as a the setter (outside blocker). To honor her achievements she was awarded the Gatorade Award for the National Player of 1999. Also, she won the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are doing what they do since 2017. But, Ross was a major player on the beach volleyball circuit prior to the pair. In reality, she's had numerous big wins as well as one of her partners was a renowned volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until the year 2013. Alongside Kessy Ross was a force on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they won a gold medal. They were beaten out for the gold medal by the legendary duo comprised of Misty May-Treanor as well as Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor after she had retired. The pair were able to win the beach volleyball bronze in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross began her college time with the Trojans at USC in high school. It was a long time before Ross went to the beach, and then became a pro. Her experience at USC was quite impressive. In 2000, as a freshman she fought her way to Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman of the Year honors and was an All-American. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans reach into the Final Four. In her sophomore season she suffered a devastating personal loss and still was able to be named an All-American. In the two years she played for the Trojans, she helped them achieve consecutive championships. In 2003-2004, she was named as the most successful female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in the United States through the Honda Sports Award. Ross was an international relations major at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the privilege of watching her daughter become an international beach volleyball star. As of 2001, when Ross was a sophomore at USC her mother passed away from breast cancer. As a result, Ross remains near to her mother who passed away. Margie remains an inspiration both on and off of the beach.
